"Our big emphasis this year,

is to Build Stronger Swimmers with FUN”

Coaches for this season will be:

Amy Lou Harold and Kelly Ann Campbell

Orcas

  Congratulations!!
Abbi, Amelia, Beatrice, Ben, Cady, Cole, Grace, Helen, Henry, Isabella B,

Julian, MacCalister, Peregrin, Vida, William, and Yasmin

The season will begin on November 23.  These are the “senior” swimmers.  Those who have good skills and can perform a 100 IM right off the bat.  A 100 IM is 25 yards of each stroke in succession, butterfly, back stroke, breast stroke and freestyle (crawl).  Orcas will swim more yards in practice and be pushed a little harder (in a nice, coach-like way) to reach their potential.  They will also be looked at as the leaders of the two groups.  Orcas attend swim meets.

Dolphins

Congratulations!!
Aida, Alanna, Chase, Darcy, Emma, Isabella, Josiah, Libby, Olivia,

Rachel, Tanner, Zoe C, and Zoe W

The season will begin on November 23.  Dolphins are those who are very comfortable in the water and able to swim 25 yards freestyle with relative ease.  These swimmers will be introduced to the other three strokes in a systematic, positive way to ensure success.  Dolphins won’t swim quite as many yards as Orcas, but will get plenty.  Dolphins attend swim meets.

Skills Team "Seals"

Congratulations!!

Arlo, Elizabeth, Else, Inga, Journey, Molly, Soma, and Alex!

Skills Team will begin on November 15.  Your swimmer is very interested in swimming and really wants to learn, but isn’t quite there yet.  Skills Team is a cost effective way to get 2 months of lessons to develop them for next years team while giving them a “team” atmosphere to be part of.  Practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays in smaller, half hour groups.

Practices

Practices for Orcas and Dolphins will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 pm to approximately 4:30 pm.  Swimmers expectations will be explained as the teams are formed.

Skills Team practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning at 3:15 and occurring at half hour increments until the sessions are complete.  Number of sessions will depend on number of kids in Skills Team.  More information as the team is formed.

Swimwear

In the past, we have selected a boy and girl suit and purchased in bulk to get the best price.  We will be doing that again this year.  Suits are not covered in the registration fee.  We do our best to keep the price as low as possible while purchasing a good looking, quality suit.  More information available at the end of try outs about suits.

Goggles.  They are required.  The club has them for sale and makes a special offer for kids on the swim team.  More information available soon.

Caps.  They are necessary for swimmers with long hair.  Believe it or not, it’s a safety issue.  Long hair in water is worse than in the wind, blinding swimmers, getting caught in other swimmers hands or lane lines.  Caps will also be available for purchase at the club.

Scholarships.

We realize kids can be expensive and as parents you may want your children to experience as much as possible but the budget won’t allow it.  We have a limited number of scholarships available.  If times are tough and money is a big obstacle, please ask to see Paul at the club.  Full rides, partial rides and payment plans are available.
